W. High St. and Manchester St. construction
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has an infrastructure project under construction along W. High and Manchester streets. This project is to improve pedestrian access and safety from High St. and to construct an entry into Gatton Park on the Town Branch. The city and our contractor, Marrillia Construction, are overseeing these roadway and access improvements in the public right-of-way. The city will post general construction updates on this page, and lane closures are listed on the Traffic Ticker.
Gatton Park on the Town Branch construction
Gatton Park on the Town Branch has officially moved into the construction phase of the community’s new 10-acre park in downtown Lexington. This project is led, funded and managed by the private non-profit Town Branch Park, LLC. They anticipate the new park to be completed in summer of 2025.
