The Gardens of Hartland Homeowner's Association, Inc. ($36,565.31) for the design and construction of a 2,500-square-foot, multi-cell, rain garden and the installation of plants, shrubs and trees along a stream in the West Hickman Creek Watershed.

The Meadowthorpe Neighborhood Association, Inc. ($29,794) for workshops on stormwater pollution, professional videos and website, as well as a rain barrel/ rain garden program in the neighborhood in the Town Branch Watershed.

The Woodfield Homes Association, Inc. ($7,748.35) to improve water quality in a 1.2 -acre retention pond in the West Hickman Creek Watershed through a bottom aeration system and algae control system.

The Living Arts and Science Center, Inc. ($6,886) for educational workshops in the Martin Luther King Neighborhood, and a rain barrel/ rain garden program in the Town Branch and Cane Run Watersheds.

The Friends of Wolf Run, Inc. will receive two $5,000 grants. The first will fund water sampling and analyzing for specific human pathogens and surveying of healthcare practitioners for evidence of waterborne disease in patients. The second grant will pay for stream cleaning and the planting of native species along eight stream reaches within the Wolf Run Watershed and developing volunteer group leadership for future projects.
