The Council Clerk’s Office is the official recordkeeping office of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. The Council Clerk’s Office is responsible for recording and managing ordinances, resolutions, and contractual documents approved by the Urban County Council, as well as agendas, dockets, and minutes.

The Council Clerk’s Office also is responsible for the publication of all public notices pertaining to official Council meetings. The office also administers the oath of office for various Urban County Government positions, boards and commissions, acts as secretary to the City Employees’ Pension Fund Board and the LFUCG Ethics Commission, and manages the Records Center and Archives.
