Cancellations and closing in response to COVID-19

Government buildings

Government buildings are closed to walk-in visitors, effective Monday, March 23. 

Parks and Recreation

The following areas are currently closed to the public:

Many, but not all, activities have been canceled. Please visit our calendar for information about specific events.

Our parks are still open. Consider visiting one of your smaller neighborhood parks. Please do not meet up with members outside your household and practice safe social distancing from others.

All Community Centers are closed. 

Police Department

Police Headquarters is not be open for public access. Police reports can be submitted online at lexingtonky.gov/citizen-report. The public can also call (859) 258-3600 with criminal activity concerns. As always, call 911 for emergencies.

Fire Department

Fire Stations are closed to public walk-in traffic, except during times of emergency.

Environmental Quality

No cancellations at this time.
