June 9, 2016 - The Lexington Police Department is asking the public for any information related to a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning.

City Gallery announces latest exhibit “Beveled Edges: Printmaking in Kentucky”

Sustainable environment grants will enhance neighborhoods

Twenty-two local organizations were awarded Sustainable Environmental Grants totaling $70,684. The grants are designed to promote creative, collaborative projects that improve and protect the environmental health of Lexington’s neighborhoods.

Spring collection events successful

The spring events hosted by Lexington’s Division of Waste Management were a huge success. More than 2,400 vehicles came out for the Household Hazardous Waste Collection, the Paper Shred and the Mulch Giveaway. All events were free to the community.

Police make quick arrest in stabbing case

Douglass to begin construction on a new playground

Douglass Park opened one of its birthday presents today … a design for a new playground. The park is 100 and a year-long celebration is underway, organized by a volunteer group, the Douglass Park Centennial Commission.

A 16-year-old juvenile is charged with Robbery 1st in connection with an armed bank robbery that occurred earlier today. Investigators with the Lexington Police Department arrested the subject Thursday evening.
