Colonnade Drive Homicide Investigation

UPDATE 12/21/22: Hubert Lee Riley has been arrested and charged in connection with the December 10, 2022, shooting death of Elaina Mammen on Colonnade Drive.

Riley was arrested on December 21, 2022 and has been charged with Murder, five counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

A 15-year-old juvenile has also been charged in connection with the homicide. The juvenile was charged with Murder, five counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. The juvenile is currently being held at a juvenile detention center.

12/20/22: The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a suspect wanted in connection with the December 10 shooting death of Elaina Mammen. 

Hubert Lee Riley, 22, has active warrants for Murder, five counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree relating to the homicide that took place on Colonnade Drive.  

Riley is considered armed and dangerous, and the public should call local law enforcement if they locate him.

Anyone with information or knowledge of Hubert Riley's whereabouts is asked to call the Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600. The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning on Colonnade Drive.  

On December 10, 2022, at around 5:44 a.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Colonnade Drive for shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old female victim inside of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was declared deceased at the scene by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

The victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner's Office.
