The Lexington Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that occurred Friday evening and detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Around 6:12 p.m. Friday November 24, officers responded to the 600 block of Georgetown Street in reference to a subject who had been shot. Officers located a 19-year-old male lying outside of a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Detectives continue to investigate the shooting, but believe that narcotics were a factor in the incident.
