Victoria Way homicide investigation

William Parker BrownMarch 10, 2021 UPDATE – A man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a Lexington woman last fall. On Monday, March 8, Lexington Police investigators served William Parker Brown, 52, with a warrant for murder.

Brown is accused of killing 62-year-old Ava Creech at her home on Victoria Way. Creech was reported missing in September 2020 and her body was later found hidden inside her apartment.

Brown had previously been arrested for Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon in connection with this case. He has been housed in the Fayette County Detention Center since October 2020.


The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in an apartment on Victoria Way. Last Friday, October 2, police discovered the body of 62-year-old Ava Creech inside her home.

The victim had been deceased for some time and it took several days for the Fayette County Coroner’s Office to positively identify her. Her death was determined to be a homicide.

Lexington Police continues to investigate this case and it appears the victim may have known her attacker.
