COVID-19 testing continues throughout Lexington

Lexington saw over 700 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the first seven days of September. This is nearly 100 more cases than the first seven days of August. Last month there were 2,538 reported cases, Lexington’s highest monthly total to date.

“We continue to see the spread of COVID-19, and testing is an important part of slowing the community spread,” Mayor Linda Gorton said today. “We must all continue working together to reduce the harm caused by COVID-19. Wearing a face mask, practicing safe social distance guidelines, repeatedly washing hands and getting a test are important parts of stopping the spread of COVID-19.”
