Lexington License Plate Readers Help Locate Missing Louisville Man

Lexington license plate readers were crucial in locating a missing man from Louisville, Kentucky.

On the evening of Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the Louisville Metro Police Department was notified about an endangered missing man. A missing persons report was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and Flock Safety license plate readers in Lexington alerted officers that a vehicle with the missing person’s license plate was in the area of Versailles Road. Officers began searching the area and safely located the missing man just after noon on September 6, 2023.

Without the assistance of license plate readers, officers would not have been able to locate the individual as quickly. This is the second missing person that Flock Safety license plate readers have helped find in the last month.
