Labor Day waste collection schedule

Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no city waste collection on Monday, Sept 2.

Residents and businesses that normally receive curbside pickup on Mondays will be served on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Place carts out after 4 p.m. on Tuesday to ensure Wednesday collection. Curbside pickup on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will not be affected.

Businesses with dumpsters (trash and recycling) will be served as follows:

  • Dumpsters normally collected by the city on Mondays will be collected on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
  • Dumpsters normally collected by the city on Tuesdays will be collected on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
  • Thursday and Friday dumpster collection will not be affected.

 

The Haley Pike Waste Management Facility, the Lexington Recycle Center and the Electronics Recycle Center will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sept. 2.
