The Lexington Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Friday morning.
Around 5:15 a.m. Friday, August 21, officers were dispatched to McClain Drive near North Broadway Park for a person down in the street. Officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a hospital and later pronounced deceased. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Micheal Proctor, 17, of Lexington.
