Two people have died as the result of a murder-suicide in Lexington Tuesday afternoon. The deceased have been identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as Angel D. Marcum, 26, and Antoine James, 54.
Around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, a Lexington Police officer reported shots fired in the parking lot of a gas station located in the 800-block of North Broadway. The shots were fired inside an SUV. The two occupants of the vehicle were transported to a hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The investigation determined that Marcum was driving the SUV and James was in the passenger seat when a disorder occurred. James shot Marcum before turning the gun on himself.
