The Lexington Police Department is searching for a man wanted in a fatal shooting. Anthony King, 27, has active warrants for Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, July 11, officers were dispatched to the 500-block of Chestnut Street for a reported shooting. Officers located a man lying on the ground suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a hospital and later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as 31-year-old Darrell L. Price of Lexington.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives developed suspect information that identified King as the shooter. He and the victim were acquaintances.
