Two people have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon at Coolavin Apartments. Detectives with the Lexington Police Department charged David Williams, 32, with Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). Tyreshe Webb, 24, is charged with Hindering Apprehension and Improper Display of a Registration Plate.
Shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, officers were dispatched to Coolavin Apartments on West Sixth Street where a man was found suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital and later pronounced deceased. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as a Quatrell Kimble, 22.
Through the course of the investigation, a firearm was recovered and detectives developed Williams as a suspect. Webb is accused of helping Williams by providing him with transportation.
