The Lexington Police Department is asking the public for information regarding a fatal collision.
At approximately 10:56 pm Saturday, June 2, 2018, officers responded to an injury collision on Richmond Road between Ellerslie Park Boulevard and Coys Lane, across from Jacobson Park. A gold 1997 Toyota Corolla traveling inbound on Richmond Road crossed the center median and overturned, coming to rest on the outbound shoulder. The driver of the car, a 26-year-old woman, was killed in the crash and three passengers were injured.
Investigators are working to identify any witnesses or other vehicles that may have been involved. Passengers in the Corolla said another vehicle also traveling inbound on Richmond Road started moving into their lane, causing the driver of the car to swerve out of the way and lose control of the vehicle.
