Truck-a-Palooza, the city’s annual touch-a-truck event, is back this Saturday at a brand new location! Visit over a dozen city trucks at Frederick Douglass High School on June 8 from 10 a.m. – noon.
Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to see, touch and even climb inside trucks from Lexington’s Department of Environmental Quality and Public Works and the Fire Department. Career information about the department will also be available during the event.

Pick up an event passport on your way in and collect stamps to earn a prize. Toy trucks, bubble wands and other giveaways will thrill the littlest visitors. Food available for purchase includes pancakes, burgers, hot dogs, chips, shaved ice and more.
This family-friendly event is free, including parking. Please enter Frederick Douglass High School, 2000 Winchester Road, from Winchester Road and follow staff instructions for parking.
A sensory hour will run from from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. for children and adults who want to avoid loud noise and overstimulating public events.
