A homicide investigation continues as Lexington Police work to determine what led up to a fatal shooting early Saturday morning, May 19.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, officers responded to a shooting at the Office Lounge, 1533 Eastland Parkway. A 45-year-old male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital where he later died. The victim has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s office as Demarcus Lamont Clay.
A second victim arrived at a Lexington hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries, shortly after officers arrived on the scene of the shooting location. It was later determined that this victim had also been shot at the same location as Mr. Clay.
Several people were seen in the area at the time of the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Lexington Police by calling (859) 258-3600.
