The Lexington Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting incident.  On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, around 4:30am, officers responded to the area of Newtown Pike and Citation Boulevard for an assault with a weapon.  Upon arrival officers made contact with two victims who both received non-life threatening gunshot wounds. 

Through the course of the investigation it was discovered the shootings had occurred at the 700 block of Newtown Pike.   Additional information led to the arrest of 19 year-old, Tremonte Homer.  Homer has been charged with two counts of Assault 1st and was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
