The City's website has a brand new way to search for parks, park shelters, and activities.
Parks & Recreation worked with GIS to create a searchable map of all the city's parks. There are several filters and features that will now make it easy for any citizen to find the parks information they need.
For example, you can:
- Type in a specific address (such as your home) and find out what parks are located nearby
- Apply filters to see what activities are located at each park, such as which city parks have basketball courts
- Get directions between different parks locations or your home to a park location
- Search available park rental shelters and view pictures
- View park acreage, special features and other general info
The new parks map is able to do all these things and more! Be sure to use the Parks Map Guide (located below the map) for any assistance in using all the map's functions.
