Man wanted in connection to fatal shooting

Lexington Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a fatal weekend shooting. Damarcus D. Jones, 25, has an active warrant for Murder.

Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, officers responded to an apartment in the 500-block of West 6th Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering gunshot wounds to his upper body. The man has been identified as a 24-year-old Lexington resident.

The investigation revealed that Jones and the victim had been involved in a disorder prior to the shooting. Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts is asked to contact police by calling (859) 258-3600.
