
March 27, 2020, UPDATE – A person has been charged in the shooting death of a Lexington man. Detectives from the Lexington Police Department have charged Quentin Love, 32, with Murder for the death of 63-year-old Robert Clay.
A lengthy investigation resulted in detectives identifying Love as the suspect who shot and killed Clay.
Officers located Clay’s body on March 3, after being called for a welfare check at his residence.
Love was already lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center on an unrelated charge.

Previously released March 4 - The Lexington Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a Lexington man.
Officers were called to an apartment on Fairmont Court late Tuesday afternoon, March 3, for a welfare check on a resident. The body of a 63-year-old man was found inside his home.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Robert Clay and continues to investigate his cause of death. At this time, the circumstances of this case appear suspicious and detectives think foul play may be involved.
