Feb. 11 UPDATE
An arrest has been made in the death of a Lexington woman who was killed in her home on Alexandria Drive. Kevin Velasco-Gomez, 25, was arrested by Kentucky State Police in Simpson County and served a warrant out of Lexington for Murder.
Velasco-Gomez is the boyfriend of a 33-year-old woman who was found deceased Monday morning. The victim has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as Elaine Castillo.
The suspect is being held in the Warren County Detention Center.

Released Feb. 10: The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Alexandria Drive.
Shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, February 10, officers responded to a home in the 2200-block of Alexandria Drive where a woman was found deceased. The cause of death is still under investigation, however, the death is suspicious.
