An arrest has been made in the 2018 death of a three-year-old girl. On Monday, January 27, 2020, the Lexington Police Department charged Andrew Buster, 33, with Murder and Sodomy 1st. He is accused of sexually assaulting and killing Lillyann Grace Reck.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment at 1040 Cross Keys Road on December 10, 2018, for an unresponsive child. Lillyann was rushed to the hospital and passed away on December 14.
Lillyann was in Buster’s care while her mother was at work. The medical examiner’s office ruled the victim’s death a homicide and DNA evidence later confirmed that foul play had occurred.
Buster is lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
The Lexington Police Department is investigating the death of a 3-year-old girl, who has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as Lillyann Grace Reck.
On Monday, December 10, 2018, officers responded to the 1040 block of Cross Keys Road in reference to an unresponsive child. Lillyann Grace Reck was immediately transported to UK Chandler Hospital for emergency treatment. Lillyann died at the hospital on December 14.
This investigation is being led by the Lexington Police Department’s Special Victims Section.
