Police ask public for help in shooting investigation

January 15, 2017 - The Lexington Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, and detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, January 14, officers were dispatched to the King Cobra Motorcycle Club located at 514 East Third Street for a report of shots fired. Officers located a 38-year-old man lying on the ground outside the club suffering an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Preliminary indications are that several people were in the area at the time of the shooting. There is no motive or suspect description at this time.
