First Public Hearing – FY23 Consolidated Plan

The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain residents' comments on the housing and community development needs of Lexington-Fayette County for the development of the Consolidated Plan for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2023. 

The 2023 Consolidated Plan will contain a one-year action plan that addresses decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents and will serve as the application for funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, the HOME Investment Partnerships program, and the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program.

Information that will be provided at the public hearing includes a summary of the history of these programs in this community and the range of activities that may be undertaken through the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs.  Estimates of the amount of funds the government expects to receive for the period July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, will also be provided.
