Bank robbery investigation underway

Jordan WashingtonOct. 22  UPDATE – Lexington Police are searching for a man believed to be responsible for a bank robbery that occurred earlier this year. Jordan D. Washington, 31, has an active warrant for Robbery 1st in connection to the May 13 robbery of the Central Bank on New Circle Road.

Washington should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Lexington Police.


Central Bank RobberyPreviously released - Around 9:18 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019, officers responded to Central Bank on West New Circle Road for a robbery. A male black wearing a gray hoodie and a mask entered the bank and demanded money with a handgun. After demanding money from the clerk, the suspect took cash and fled in a vehicle. 

The vehicle was later found wrecked near the bank and the suspect may have fled on foot toward the Hollow Creek area.
