HANDS home visitation program
HANDS provides free voluntary, evidence based home visiting for pregnant women and families with young children.
HANDS builds upon decades of research showing that home visits by a nurse and trained early childhood educators promotes child development, improves school readiness, improves maternal and child health and increases the likelihood of positive parenting.
The program provides individually tailored supports and fun activities to families in their home including information on children’s health, referrals to community resources, pregnancy, home safety, bonding and infant development.
