Join us for a class on the rules of the road, bicycle route planning, and bicycle safety! This class includes one hour of indoor classroom instruction and one hour outside on your bike. Instruction includes rules of the road, adjusting your bike, parts identification, pre-ride safety check, bicycle handling basics, scanning and signaling.
The class will begin in the first-floor conference room of the Phoenix Building, 101 East Vine Street. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Participants must be over 14 years of age. League of American Cyclists certified instructors will lead the class.
Please bring your own bicycle, lights and helmet. The class will be held rain or shine, so dress for the weather. If you cannot bring your own bike, contact Alice Hilton at ahilton@lexingtonky.gov to discuss other options.
