Equestrian / Horseback Riding

Lexington Parks & Recreation offers riding trails, features, facilities, and programs at Masterson Station Park and a riding trail at Hisle Farm Park. The Equestrian Program at Masterson Station Park offers safe and affordable horseback riding lessons throughout the year, including beginner, intermediate and advanced classes and camps during Spring Break and the summer. Riders are to supply their own ATSM-approved horseback riding helmets.

Please note: Using remote-controlled airplanes and drones is prohibited at Masterson Station Park, as they may disturb horses.

Class registration

Registration for any beginner classes (youth and adult riders) is online. To register online, you must have an account set up. This includes age verification for riders, which can take 1 – 3 business days. We recommend having this completed at least a few days prior to registration opening. If your child has never participated in a Parks & Recreation program, proof of age is required.
