September is National Preparedness Month

Lexington Mayor Jim Gray has proclaimed September as Preparedness Month in Fayette County. Gov. Matt Bevin has declared September as National Preparedness Month for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well.

Lexington opens cooling centers, offers half-price admission at pools on July 4

Lexington officials to open multiple cooling centers on July 4 and offer half-price admission to all city pools and aquatic centers for the day. Emergency summer weather plan extended through July 5.

March is Severe Weather Preparedness Month

Lexington Emergency Management encourages residents to “Be Ready, Lexington” during March, Severe Weather Preparedness Month in Fayette County.
