Grants & Special Programs has updated its HOME Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) manual and application process. The manual and applications for certification as a CHDO organization are listed below. LFUCG will accept applications for CHDO status on a rolling basis, however, funding for CHDO projects is allocated annually and may not be immediately available to new applicants.
Organizations interested in applying for CHDO status are encouraged to conduct careful research on the requirements and obligations of a CHDO under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s HOME program. First time applicants are also encouraged to contact Grants and Special Programs to learn more about the program before submitting an application.
