Nov 2, 2019, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The race, held on the beautiful grounds of the Lexington VA Medical Center, donates 100% of the proceeds to the center.
Race day activities begin at 10 a.m. and the race starts at noon.
As in previous years, one hundred percent of the proceeds from the race, which is sponsored by Lexington Community Corrections and Columbia Gas of Kentucky’s NiVets employee resource group, will be donated to the Lexington VA Medical Center.
Last year, more than 180 participants helped raise over $10,500 to assist in the construction of the Fisher House, a comfort home where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment at the Lexington VA Medical Center. Proceeds from this year’s race will once again benefit the Fisher House and the Lexington VA Medical Center’s outreach program that services veterans with PTSD and homeless issues.
