Join us online for our next “Mornings with Planning” – a monthly interactive digital panel series, held on the first Wednesday of the month, to discuss how our City’s planning efforts have evolved and changed over time.

October's discussion on Wednesday, October 6, 9 – 10 a.m. will focus on our city’s urban forestry. Urban trees contribute generously to the establishment and continued success of a desirable community. Join our expert panelists as they discuss how Lexington may meaningfully prioritize and implement the expansion and management of our community’s urban forest to reflect the intersection of values within a diverse stakeholder network. As we approach Lexington’s fourth annual Tree Week, this discussion will also delve into how we, as a community, may celebrate the trees that weave their way throughout the spaces where we conduct our daily lives.

Join our expert panelists:

  • Stacy Borden, ISA Certified Arborist - Grounds Manager, Campus Physical Plant Division, University of Kentucky
  • Christopher K. Sass, Ph. D. - Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies, University of Kentucky Department of Landscape Architecture
  • Heather Wilson, ISA Certified Municipal Arborist - Municipal Arborist, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government
