ESP and REAL will be closed on all holidays observed by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government. Our program does not prorate for federal holidays, inclement weather, and schools closing due to illness. Extended periods of closings will be reviewed and families contacted with more information.

- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day (as observed by LFUCG calendar)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- President's Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day (ESP and REAL will operate normally)
- Thanksgiving holidays (including the day before and after Thanksgiving)
- Christmas Eve (as observed by LFUCG calendar)
- Christmas Day (as observed by LFUCG calendar)
Inclement Weather Procedures
In the event of early dismissal:
- ESP will operate at each site for three hours at elementary schools
- REAL will not operate and students must be picked up at school dismissal
In the event of a morning delay:
- ESP will only operate after school
- REAL will not operate in the morning
At this time, we currently do not offer full day services for snow days.
