Using succession (and disturbance) to create a forest
As the natural “end” to succession in Kentucky, in a lot of ways forests are the easiest habitat to create. If you leave everything alone and wait long enough, you'll get a forest! Of course, reality is never that easy.
Pools expand hours
Splish, splash, the pools are open, and after starting the swimming season with significantly reduced hours because of a lifeguard shortage, the City is able to expand hours, starting Monday, June 21. Here are the new hours that start next week:
Mayor plans Center for Senior and Therapeutic Recreation
The new center will provide new, accessible space for therapeutic programming, and supplement some services offered at the Senior Center.
