The Division of Engineering oversees the design and construction of capital infrastructure projects, ensures new development is compliant with the community’s standards, and manages permitting within the public right-of-way.

Our division engages the public about environmental issues in our community. We work closely with Waste Management and Water Quality to support recycling and stormwater efforts in Lexington. We also manage sustainability initiatives and handle the beautification and maintenance of the city's green spaces and corridors.
