Camp Registration

Registration for 2024 summer camps will open on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. for online and in-person registration. Click the link below to set up your online account and have it ready. To register online, you must have an account set up. This includes age verification for campers and household approval, which can take one to three business days. We recommend having this completed a few days in advance of registration.

Please note: Some camps, such as ESP, golf, tennis, and S.T. Roach utilize a different registration system. Also note that the Adult Sorta Summer Camp registration opens on a different date and time, April 15 at noon. Carefully read the information for the camps you are interested in below.

In-person registration will open Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. In order to secure your spot quickly, bring a completed registration form and camp selection form with you.

If you're registering for the first time, bring proof of age or upload it online. If you're applying for a scholarship, bring proof of income and fill out the financial assistance form.

  • Camps participants must have their ages verified prior to registering for Parks & Recreation activities, no exceptions. (Positive proof of age for all those 17 years of age and younger in the household.)
  • Proof of age documentation includes birth certificate, passport, immunization certificate, insurance card, or other government-issued identification card or document.
  • To submit proof of age, please use one of the following methods:

Count Me In – Financial Assistance

  • Any paid program, camp, or event will now be eligible for a 50% financial assistance discount for youth and adults in qualifying households. Any extenuating circumstances that may still present barriers after the discount will be reviewed by staff on a case-by-case basis for additional assistance to ensure that programs and events are equitably accessible to all.
  • Individuals seeking scholarships must fill out an income eligibility application. Proof of income includes KTAP, KCHIP, medical card or another form of government aid.
  • All participants must re-apply for scholarship eligibility every year.

A limited number of scholarships will be available. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, fill out the following form and email it to parnold@lexingtonky.gov with all necessary documentation by a yet-to-be-determined date. If you plan to apply in person, bring this information with you. 

Refunds/Cancellations

  • Parks & Recreation programs offer partial refunds if requested no fewer than seven business days before the start of an activity
  • Refunds are issued in the form of a check-in approximately 4 – 6 weeks.

Holiday Closures

Camps will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 (Juneteenth) and Thursday, July 4 (Independence Day) for city observed holidays. 

Sales Tax

Starting Jan. 1, 2023, the Kentucky Department of Revenue requires service-based industries to impose a 6% sales tax. This applies to youth sports, camps, rentals, and instructional trainings. As a result, the fee includes a 6% sales tax that will be applied on all events, programs, rentals, and camps that meet that criterion under Lexington Parks & Recreation.
