Bike lane task force

The bike lane task force charge is to research and develop ways to do the following:

  • Educate motorists on appropriate, safe behaviors with regard to sharing the roadway
  • Educate the public on the advantages of bicycling: cleaner air, conservation of energy, and reduction of traffic
  • Enforce traffic laws as they apply to bicyclists and bike lanes
  • Improve bike lanes, roads, signage, and maintenance
