The Lexington Mayor’s Commission for Citizens with Disabilities will present its 4th annual Celebration of disAbility Expo and Employer Seminar on Thursday, April 26, at the Lexington Convention Center.

The seminar is intended to draw area Human Resource Professionals, business owners, people with disabilities and people who work with those who have disabilities.
“People with disabilities represent a largely untapped resource in the work force and we want to show employers how they can be assets to their businesses,” said Kristy Stambaugh, Lexington’s Aging Services and Disability Support Administrator. “They represent so much ability that should not be ignored.”
The Expo, which will be held in Heritage Hall, will again feature agencies and companies that serve individuals with disabilities.
Sponsors for the event include the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities, Attorney Karen Perch, the Commonwealth Council for Developmental Disabilities, Superior Van and Mobility, Fayette County Emergency Planning Commission, Protection and Advocacy, Bluegrass Career Services, Columbia Gas and Coventry Care.
