Yard waste collected by the city’s Division of Waste Management during the past several months is now mulch material and will be given away for free this Saturday, April 14 and the following Saturday, April 21.
The mulch will be available for pick up from 8 a.m. to noon, or until the supply is gone. The mulch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and one pickup truck load per person.
The mulch can be picked up at the former city landfill site, 1631 Old Frankfort Pike. Please enter through the gates of the former landfill and exit through Jimmie Campbell Drive. There will be signs to guide you to the mulch pick-up area.
