Richard Moloney, a Lexington native, returns to the Urban County Government to serve citizens as a Council Member At-Large. A former council member elected to represent the 11th district, Moloney served 7 terms over a twenty year period; a time span covering 4 mayors, 6 vice mayors and 45 council members.
Moloney also served as Chief Administrative Officer and Commissioner of Environmental Quality & Public Works for Mayor Jim Gray. Prior to that, he was appointed by Governor Steve Beshear to lead the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction under the B.
Moloney serves on the following standing committees: Budget, Finance and Economic Development; Environmental Quality and Public Works, and General Government and Social Services.
