Welcome to the Office of Homelessness Prevention and Intervention
Working with the Homelessness Prevention & Intervention Board, this office provides planning, coordination, advocacy and awareness about the changing needs of services for people experiencing homelessness in Lexington. The office does not provide direct support services, but serves as an information source and assists with problem solving for difficult situations requiring multiple resources and organizations.
The Office of Homelessness Prevention was created in 2014 in response to a series of recommendations made in the January 2013 Report of the Mayor’s Commission on Homelessness.
