These fees were previously billed by Kentucky American Water Company (KAWC); however, KAWC has chosen to discontinue billing city services and will no longer provide billing and payment support for LFUCG customers. Customers will now receive two bills: one from LFUCG, known as the 'LEXserv bill', for the city service fees - and one from KAWC for water service and consumption. Same fees, same rates, just two bills. Customers have been paying these fees all along - the only change is that the fees are now billed separately by the city.
