Employment Opportunities

Information on Employment Opportunities in the area can be found by visiting the Central Kentucky Job Center website at www.ckyjobs.com.  Helpful information can be found in the following areas:

  • Posting Job Openings & Tailored Recruitment

Job Center staff are available to post openings for FREE. These postings are made available to job seekers at all Job Centers and also online at Kentucky’s E3 (https://e3.ky.gov/).

  • Application Administration

The Job Center will administer a company’s applications and screen applicants for necessary qualifications. This helps to ensure that the company receives candidates who are just an interview away from being a great asset to their company

  • On-the-Job Training

This is a program designed to fill vacant positions in a cost-effective way. A job order can be placed with the Central Kentucky Job Center and the staff will work to find qualified applicants who are ready to work. The Bluegrass Workforce Investment Board can provide financial assistance for training costs.

  • Computer Testing Facilities

The Job Center will customize assessment software as requested by the criteria and needs unique to business. This is done to analyze the abilities of the applicants. The staff administers the tests and only the most qualified applicants are sent for interviewing.

  • Customized Training

Customized training is utilized to help employees develop specific skills to make an organization successful in a changing economy.

  • Labor Market Information & Retention Services

The Job Center has a variety of ways to access information on the national, statewide, and local labor market.
